And I always uninstall before a re-install, so it SHOULDN'T be a dangling install. Don't even get the "welcome to DaVinci, let's set up your workflow" guide. It's all Studio until when it SHOULD give me the Activation window. Splash screen when launching shows Studio. Thanks both for Charles, nope, Like I said, that was the first thing I thought (maybe someone had renamed the dmg or something) so I actually re-downloaded the Studio installer.
Got a workstation just sitting there helpless. No other machine in my facility is doing this, with the original dmg or a redownloaded one.Īny ideas here? Is it possible there maybe is a package receipt stuck in there somewhere if someone snuck in there and pushed in the Lite version without my knowing?Īppreciate any help, or even just knowing this has happened elsewhere, so I know I'm not completely nuts. Did it again, because maybe more coffee helps. That's the point of the separate installer, ain't it? (if this changed, please enlighten me, as I never saw that documentation) Studio Installer shouldn't revert to the Lite version if no activation is found. It's on the network and other apps reach out and activate no problem. And I know this isn't actually studio already activated, because there's no Deactivate option where there should be one if it was already activated. This is on a new workstation that never had an installer on it before this. Skips right to the project select interface. Install the Resolve Studio Installer, same installer I've used on a dozen other workstations (17.1.1, cuz we're locked in at that version across facility). Set up a fresh workstation, all software and OS and hardware versions check out. Installed/uninstalled a million times over the last few years, never had this happen.
